18 Year Old Limited Reserve Irish whiskey is the Master Blender’s
supreme example of the Jameson tradition of maturing Irish whiskey in
Spanish oloroso sherry casks.
Jameson's Master Blender hand-picked three Irish whiskeys which have been
matured in seasoned olorosso sherry casks for a minimum of 18 years. Then
Jameson 18 Year Old Whiskey is transferred to
American
bourbon barrels for a further six months, to put the final finishing
touches to this complex, unique and lovely Irish whiskey.
Nose: This Fine aged Irish whiskey has muted notes of sherry and aromatic oils with a gentile touch of oak and spice, all balanced with a toffee sweetness.
Taste: Wonderfully mellow and smooth taste in this Irish whiskey. There are complex flavors of fudge and a toffee spice, plus hints of wood & leather. The gentle sherry nuttiness and vanilla leave the drinker satisfied.
Finish: There is a long and lingering finish to this whiskey, carrying notes of wood, spice & toffee all the way to the very end.
