Jameson Crested Ten Irish Whiskey is Jameson's oldest bottled brand in Ireland, and unfortunately for those who aren't currently in the Republic of Ireland, still resides primarily in Ireland. This is a bottle I'm always sure to pick up when I'm back in Ireland. The first place I ever had the pleasure of having a drop of Jameson Crested Ten was at Keating's pub in Co. Claire. We drove up one afternoon, and I had never heard of nor seen Jameson Crested Ten, so I ordered up a shot of this well refined Irish Whiskey. It had me at hello! I asked the land lady about it, she brushed it off as something the "old men drink". Well here is a piece of travel advice, When in Ireland, do as the Irish. Crested Ten costs a bit more than your average bottle of Jameson, but it is a bit more too. The Whiskey used begins at 8 years or older. There is much more pot still than grain, and above average sherry. I highly recommend Jameson Crested Ten.

Nose: A strong start of sherry can't help but catch your nose on first impression of This unique Irish Whiskey. This is nicely balanced with a sharp pot still, with a bit of sweet melon and spicy ginger.
Taste: There is a maltiness that warms your palate while the sweet and spice play off one another, all the while the hints of bourbon and sherry wood come through this whiskey.
Finish: Crested ten offers a level of refinement that it's namesake seems to lack. The Grain and sherry taper off in a smooth and refreshing finish.
