“As a cure for worrying, work is better than whiskey.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson
Once, very hard to find outside of Ireland, this great Pure Pot Still whiskey distilled by John Jameson & Sons, is now widely available. Unique among Irish Whiskeys, Red Breast is an unblended, pure pot still whiskey, triple distilled in oak casks for no less that 12 years. Red Breast is very true to it's authenticity and their dedication to quality give Red Breast a traditional smooth and mellow character with a full flavor, but not an overly robust assertiveness.

Nose: A delightful nose can be expected from Red Breast Pure pot still whiskey. The Fragility of the pot still is very real and active. The Malt comes through with a crisp apple fruitiness, with just a slight trace of sherry. Red Breast whiskey is as musty in nose as it is clean .
Taste: The smallest sip will fill your mouth with malt, sherry and pepper. The second wave of flavor is classically Irish pot still, this flavor maintains. This whiskey is neither subtle, nor unpleasant.
Finish: The finish is very long with a lovely spice that finished off this complex whiskey. There is a dryness, along with honey and fudge flavor that makes Red Breast a best buy for the money.
